Summary Report
The summary report has always been helpful in past versions. Reports for glass and stock appear in V16 but will the Summary Report eventually be added?

Patrick Millard AdminThe Final Summary report is definitely in the plans. We'll take a look at adding that report, sooner than later.

Ben Zuill-Smith AdminHi Jerrad,
What specifically are you looking for in this report? There are 2 major parts to it in v15:
1. The summary of joints, lites, area, etc.
2. The cost summary (your base cost before taxes, surcharges, etc)
3. There was also a list of framing systems used
Many users just use the numbers in part 1 of the report to put into their own excel sheets or price calculators, but don't actually print them. We could provide these in another way similar to the elevation Totals that we put in the corner.
Many people found the costs in part 2 less useful and prefer the Markup for the summary of charges since it gives a little more breakdown and ways to add taxes.
What of these items do you need and do you need to print them? -

Jerrad HealyThank you Patrick and in regards to the more specific question from Ben I will list reasons below as to why it is personally helpful.
During the handoff phase between Estimating and PM Departments the Report Summary is a clean sheet displaying a "30,000 ' view" with important project information from the macro level.
The Report Summary, quantifying overall joints, lites, area, etc has always been helpful.
The listing of framing systems used, and space provided for comments was always a nice feature. These things allows for clean hand-off sheets post-award. Personally it also helps when bidding quickly on projects where RFP and details are not as clear as one would prefer. -

Ben Zuill-Smith AdminThanks for the feedback. Sounds like you'd like it to continue to be a printed report. Let us know if there is anything you would like us to add to the report or any other improvements you feel could be made.
