Group or move elevations together on shop drawings
Example is large exterior wall broken up by steel beams or break metal

Patrick Millard AdminWe have thought about combining elevations that are drawn for corner conditions and beams dividing linear runs. We hadn't thought about horizontal beams separating segments of framing, so thanks for this suggestion. We'll have to put our thinking caps on to figure out a way to make this easy and intuitive for the user.

MichaelI get what is wanted and that would be interesting, but a simple fix (until the caps work) would be to let us arrange the elevations to our liking. In the older version we could change the "Sort #" for each elevation so, perhaps, all interior elevations and exterior elevations were grouped together and would print together. I thought maybe being able to arrange the elevations in the Job Explorer would do it, but the elevations still print in the same order they were entered into the project. Not a big deal if you want each elevation on a separate page, but I try to put 2\3\4 elevations on a page when I send for a quote. Sometimes by changing the Sort #, I can reduce the number of pages being printed. So, make the order that we arrange the elevations in the Job Explorer be the order they are viewed and printed. Doesn't necessarily put the upper frames on the same page as the lower frames but at least they could be grouped together.

Ben Zuill-Smith AdminThanks Michael, the print order not being the same as the Job Explorer order is actually a bug someone from our development team is working on fixing this right now.
